Paver patios, walkways and driveways

Most patio failures in the Triangle are base failures, not paver failures. We spend the time underground so the surface stays where we put it.

Paver and brick patios, front walkways, entries and driveways, plus natural stone and blue flagstone where a more irregular surface suits the house better. Every job starts with excavation and a compacted aggregate base cut to the right depth for the traffic it will carry, because in Carolina clay that base is what decides whether the surface is still level in ten years.

Before anything is dug we work out where people will walk, where furniture will sit, and where water needs to go. Edges are restrained properly, falls are set away from the house, and steps and landings are sized so nobody has to think about them.

One crew, so the levels line up

Concrete installations, stone steps and any wall work are handled by the same team, so transitions between surfaces meet cleanly instead of being reconciled after the fact by whoever turns up last.
